Once you downloaded Email Processor, installed the program to
a directory on your PC and launched it, the program's main window is displayed
to you.
Look at the program's toolbar. There are the following icons:
These options are also available under
File and
Edit menus.
At the left pane you can see
My Rules section with a list of rules: Bounced, Remove
autoresponder reply, Klez removal, Unsubscribe, My
Subscribers confirm (example),
My Subscribers
(example).

Bounced rule handles
bounced email messages.
Remove Auto Responder Reply
rule helps you to process and delete messages sent by auto responder.
Klez Removal rule
processes incoming messages that may be infected by such a virus as Klez.
Unsubscribe rule
handles messages that contain unsubscribe requests.
An example of My Subscribers
rule shows how you can process emails with subscribe requests from your
customers.
An example of My
Subscribers Confirmation rule describes the settings you can use to handle
the reply messages confirming the customers wish to be added to your mailing
list.
Each rule is supplied with the
default settings. The program allows you to create an unlimited number of rules.
Below My Rules
section are Log,
Outbox and
Inbox Explorer.
Log shows you detailed
information about the processing of your incoming messages.
Outbox shows you
detailed information about your outgoing messages.
Inbox Explorer
retrieves a message header as well as the specified number of lines from a
message body and shows you a detailed information about each incoming message:
Size, From, Subject, To. Also, in Inbox Explorer you are able to view what rules
can be applied to each retrieved message. In addition, you can use Inbox
Explorer to delete unwanted messages directly from the mail server.
If you select a rule and click the right mouse button on it,
you will bring up the popup menu with the following options:

Start - allows you to start processing
incoming messages;
New Rule - allows you to create a new
rule;
Rule Settings - allows you to make
settings for the selected rule;
Duplicate Rule - allows you to
duplicate the selected rule;
Check All - allows you to check all
rules in My Rules list;
Uncheck All - allows you to uncheck
all rules from the list;
Delete Rule - allows you to delete the
selected rule;
Clear Messages Cache -
allows you to remove messages processed by the selected rule from the cache. If
you select this option under File menu,
the program will clear messages cache for all the rules. After the program
processed your incoming messages, it saves the number of each processed message
(UIDL) into its internal cache in order not to process the same message twice.
So, if you checked the Mark message as processed
after rule is executed option in
the Rules Settings, all the messages will
be placed into the program cache after executing the appropriate rule and will
not be processed next time. If you want the program to process the same messages
again, you should clear messages cache beforehand and then run the program
again.
When you select a rule from the list, it automatically
appears on the right panel of the program main window. Here you can see all of
the entries of this rule. Click a black down arrow and you will display the
popup menu with the following items:

Filters allow you to
filter your incoming emails by their size, subject, message header and body,
sender email, sender name, recipient email or recipient name.
Field Extractor allows
you to search and extract data from a message header and message body
accordingly to specified keywords and phrases.
Fields Processor
allows you to automatically perform various operations with the data extracted
by the Field Extractor.
Bounced Emails Processor
allows you to specify a mask for email addresses that the program will ignore
when processing bounced messages.
Actions include
MS Windows Script,
Database Manager,
Write to File,
Forward Email, and Send Email.
Click a name of the entry and it will appear on the panel.
Click icon to make
settings for the selected entry. To delete the entry, click
Delete.
