G-Lock EasyMail \ How to verify emails from G-Lock EasyMail Address Book


How to connect from AEV to G-Lock EasyMail 5 Address Book and verify the emails without import-export

Before you connect to G-Lock EasyMail address book and verify the emails, you must add a new field to the group in G-Lock EasyMail address book, to which the Advanced Email Verifier (AEV) will write the verification result (good, bad, or unknown). You can also add a field to write the error description so you can understand why an email address was marked as bad or unknown.

To add a new field:

1. Open G-Lock EasyMail address book.

2. Click the right mouse button on the group name at the left pane.

3. Select Edit Database Link\Group Name option.

4. Click Insert.

5. Type VerificationResult as a new field name.

6. Select Character or String field type.

7. Click Insert button again, type ErrorDescription field name, and set Character or String field type.

8. Click OK.

Now you are ready to connect to G-Lock EasyMail address book from the AEV.
 

Connecting to G-Lock EasyMail Address Book from AEV

1. Open Advanced Email Verifier (AEV).

2. Click on the New button and select New DB Connection.

3. Enter a list name in the Database Manager.

4. Click on Select Database button.

5. Select Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider and click Next.

6. In the Connection tab select G-Lock EasyMail database (EM50.mdb file) on the disk:

C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Application Data\G-Lock Software\EasyMail\Data\EM50.mdb

7. Click on Test Connection button.

8. Click on the Advanced tab and check ReadWrite box in the Access permissions section.

9. Click OK.

10. On the general Database Manager screen select the group name in G-Lock EasyMail address book. To do this, click a down arrow in the Table Name field and select the group you want to verify the emails from.

11. Map the fields. To map the fields, click the mouse in the Mapped Value column and select the field name. You must map the Email field to Email and VerificationResult to LastResponse. Remove the mapped value from the ID field.

12. Click OK to save the database connection.


Verifying Email Addresses

1. Put the cursor on the db connection name in the AEV.

2. Click Start button.

After the verification is complete you'll see the results in the VerificationResult column (good, bad, unknown) and error description in the LastResponse column. Now you can open G-Lock EasyMail address book and you'll see the results written in the appropriate fields.
